Hornets’ Grant Williams Out for the Season

The Charlotte Hornets received tough news after their loss to the Milwaukee Bucks as Grant Williams suffered a torn ACL in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season.
The injury occurred during the fourth quarter, with Williams planting his right leg on a drive to the basket. Despite his attempts to walk off the court, he ultimately needed assistance.
Grant Williams had to be helped to the locker room with an injury. That did not look good at all. 🤕 x.com/i/web/status/1…

This is a huge blow for the Hornets, as Williams was contributing 10.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 37% from beyond the arc. Rookie Tidjane SalaĂĽn and Moussa Diabate are expected to take over at power forward in his absence.
Charlotte’s 6-10 start has them struggling for consistency, but LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller have been a bright spot, combining for nearly 50 points per game. Ball’s electric 50-point performance in Saturday’s loss was a reminder that the Hornets still have star power, even as injuries threaten to derail their season.
Butler Puts on a Show in OT Thriller

/
Jimmy Butler delivered a vintage performance Sunday night, scoring a season-high 33 points to lift the Miami Heat past the Dallas Mavericks in a thrilling 123-118 overtime victory. Butler tied the game in regulation with a powerful dunk, though the Heat's argument for a foul fell on deaf ears.
While Butler set the tone, Bam Adebayo added a strong double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Tyler Herro chipped in 18 points and 10 boards. Alec Burks and Pelle Larsson rounded out a balanced attack with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Butler’s back-to-back 30-point games marked the ninth time he’s achieved this feat since joining the Heat.
Scotty Pippen Jr.’s Pays Homage to His Dad

For Scotty Pippen Jr., playing at the United Centre has always been special, after all, it’s where his Hall of Fame father, Scottie Pippen, created countless memories. But on Saturday night, the younger Pippen made his own mark, dropping a career-high 30 points along with 10 assists in the Memphis Grizzlies' 142-131 victory over the Chicago Bulls.
Pippen Sr. wasn’t in attendance this time but was there earlier this month when his son recorded a triple-double, making them just the third father-son duo in NBA history to achieve that feat.
Pippen Jr. is averaging 12.6 points and 5.9 assists through 17 games, quickly carving out his own legacy while honoring his father’s.
Zion Williamson's Hamstring Troubles Continue

It’s a tough pill to swallow for Pelicans fans as Zion Williamson remains sidelined with a left hamstring strain. Sources say the injury will keep him out until at least mid-December, with a possibility of an even longer absence.
Despite being in what team officials called the best shape of his career, Williamson’s injury history continues to overshadow his immense talent.
Since being drafted first overall in 2019, Williamson has missed a staggering 211 of 401 regular-season games. The Pelicans, currently fighting to stay afloat, have certainly felt his absence in their 6-11 start.
Can New Orleans find a way to rally without their star, or will this season become another what if for Zion and the Pelicans?
LaMelo Ball Joins the Hornets' 50-Point Club

LaMelo Ball gave us a performance for the books Saturday night, dropping a career-high 50 points in the Hornets' 119-112 loss to the Bucks. While the game didn’t end in Charlotte’s favor, Ball’s talent was undeniable as he joined Kemba Walker as the only Hornets players to notch a 50-point game.
Ball went off in the second half, scoring 22 points in the third quarter and 18 more in the fourth to give his team a chance. His final bucket cut the lead to five, and Brandon Miller brought it to within two before Milwaukee sealed the game at the free-throw line.
Whether Ball can translate his performances into consistent team success remains an open question.
Sixers’ Woes Continue Against the Clippers

The Philadelphia 76ers' struggles hit another low Sunday night as they suffered a 125-99 blowout loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Despite 18 points from Jared McCain and 17 from Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers couldn’t keep pace.
Philadelphia was missing key players, including Joel Embiid and Paul George, both dealing with knee issues. Head coach Nick Nurse said pregame that both are progressing, but their absence was painfully evident.
The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell, but James Harden stepped up with 23 points and eight assists to lead Los Angeles to an easy win. At 3-13, the Sixers are still searching for answers, and with Embiid sidelined, the road ahead doesn’t look much brighter.

Sparks Ignite Plans for State-of-the-Art Facility

The Los Angeles Sparks aren’t just focused on winning on the court, they’re laying the groundwork for long-term success off it. The franchise announced plans to build its own practice facility, partnering with Transwestern Real Estate Services to acquire land and start construction.
This move signals a major step for a franchise determined to solidify its status as a leader in women’s basketball. Sparks governor Eric Holoman emphasized the broader vision behind the project:
“This facility is part of a broader vision to elevate the LA Sparks as the premier franchise in the WNBA. Los Angeles is a city of champions, and we are determined to bring that winning legacy to the Sparks.”
For years, the Sparks have shared practice space at El Camino College, limiting their access and forcing players to find alternative locations for training. With teams like Seattle, Phoenix, and soon Dallas and Chicago building or opening new facilities, Los Angeles is making a statement that it won’t be left behind.
